Product Description
HS Structural Repair Mortar is an alkali resistant portland cement based product for repairing
structural and non structural vertical and overhead concrete surfaces. HS Structural Repair
Mortar can be used in a variety of applications for repairing damaged or decaying concrete.
Installation Process
When repairing damaged or decaying vertical/ overhead concrete surfaces make sure to follow proper ACI guidelines.
In order to ensure proper bond to existing, sound, concrete check all surrounding areas
using a chipping hammer. Use a wire brush to Clean all loose debris, and any foreign substances that can impede proper bond before saturating the surface with clean potable water. All surfaces should be SSD before applying HS Structural Repair Mortar.
HS Structural Repair Mortar requires 5.50 quarts of clean potable water per 50lb bag. For
best results, Mix with a high shear / agitating mixing device for 3-5 minutes. If no such mixer is available allow 5-10 minutes to slate before re-mixing the material. It is not recommended to mix Structural Repair Mortar in weather below 50° or above 80° F. Extreme temperatures can effect the set-time and curing of the finished product.
HS Structural Repair Mortar is designed to be used in the Repairing of Cracked, broke, or
decaying of existing concrete structures. HS Structural Repair Mortar can be applied up to 3” without adding reinforcement. A slurry coat can be applied prior to the finish coat to help
adhesion and build to existing concrete.
Damp curing HS Structural Repair Mortar is highly recommended in higher temperatures.
Damp curing per ACI requirements improves the strength and longevity of the concrete.
Shelf Life
HS Structural Repair Mortar has a shelf life of two years when stored in a dry area away from extreme cold/heat according to ACI Guidelines.
